Discover the past and the present of Sri Lanka through:
- Negombo is one of Sri Lanka's main fishing ports. From the shore of its beach fringed with coconut trees, enjoy the sight of the square sails of the "oruwas", the sailing canoes and swings. Do not miss the return of the fishermen who put their nets on the beach before taking their catch to the spectacular fish market. For nature lovers, a walk in the heart of lush vegetation is just awe-inspiring! Make a detour through various churches and you will understand why Negombo is nicknamed "Little Rome"!
- The Sigiriya Rock (also known as Lion Rock) is undoubtedly a strong symbol of Sri Lanka and one of the three points of the Cultural Triangle. Being the cultural and natural heritage, the region is well worth a few nights to fully enjoy its wonders.
- The ruins of Polonnaruwa, the ancient royal city of Lanka. This archaeological site offers a pleasant walk or a bicycle ride through the remains, scattered in a beautiful park on the shore of Parakrama Samudra. The highlight of the visit is undoubtedly the Gal Vihara and its gigantic Buddha statues carved in stone. The remains of palaces and temples allow you to imagine the splendor of the city at its peak. Nearby, you can enjoy the traditional "rice & curry" in a charming setting, facing the rice fields.
- Kalpitiya with its natural beauty, the Kalpitiya Peninsula on the west coast is still unknown to travelers. It is also an ideal place to watch dolphins (between November and April) and for Kitesurfing (best season between May and October).

A perfect holiday for...
It is said that people from Brittany are travelers, I guess I am no exception! If I went around Europe a bit during my youth, I caught the travel virus, during my first expatriation to Mauritius. When I set foot on the sand, it hit me: I was made for the sun. A second experience followed, Reunion Island for two years, exploring the island from one end to the other on the hiking trails. In 2017, I surprised myself when I stopped with my suitcases in Sri Lanka. Beyond the enchanting landscapes, the country has been an emotional and professional upheaval for me and each day brings its share of surprises and emotions. The friendliness of the Sri Lankans, the time which seems to slow down, the thirst-quenching coconut water and the diversity of landscapes and climates all explain how you can never get tired of this country!
