Pushkar Fair

Inde - Inde du Nord - Rajasthan
'

Each year, in October/November during the full moon, hundreds of pilgrims come to purify themselves in the sacred waters of Pushkar Lake. Combining business with religion, they participate in a large cattle fair and cultural celebration in the dunes trading camels, horses, cows, goats and sheep.

This Pushkar tour package centres around a colourful celebration that attracts tens of thousands of Indians: ranchers, farmers, sadhus, jumpers, and simple pilgrims. A kind of medieval mystery in a setting of Arabian Nights.

Tens of thousands of camels spread out all over the dunes, this is the first sight that greets your eyes in the Pushkar fair, an event which brings together all the breeders and merchants of camels and horses of North India and buyers who come from far and wide.

*NOTE: This Pushkar tour package is designed keeping in mind the Pushkar Cattle Fair taking place from 22nd - 30th November 2020.
