Welcome to India and the beginning of your Rajasthan tour! You will be greeted at the airport with a warm Namaste. Your driver will transport you to your B&B through Delhi's bustling streets filled with colour and sound. On the way to your B&B, take in the sights and sounds of India, watching the scenes of local life as you pass. Enjoy a free afternoon to relax or set out to explore the surroundings.

Travel to Agra: 210km - 4h by road

Today you travel to Agra. Visit the Red Fort - a red sandstone fortress which was later converted to a palace, steeped in history, strength, and elegance. Continue on to see the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula, also known as the Baby Taj due to is jewel box appearance, rumoured to be the original model for the exquisite Taj Mahal. The walls of the tomb are encrusted in motives of semi-precious stones. Spend the night at your heritage hotel, the only genuine 100 year old heritage hotel operating in Agra, with stunning old European charm and royal beauty. From the rooftop, one can easily get a view of the Taj Mahal, the Red Fort, Jama Masjid and many monuments of Agra.

Witness the beauty of the Taj Mahal during sunrise

Begin the day watching the glistening sunrise at the Taj Mahal. The sky behind the mausoleum is ablaze in golden apricot colours. Your guide will be there to fill you in on the romantic history of this royal resting place. After breakfast your driver will transfer you to Jaipur, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, the City of Victory, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which was the capital of the Mughal Empire in it’s prime. Check into your guesthouse, with a rooftop terrace that boasts a beautiful view of the Amber Fort. End the evening with an authentic local dinner made from organic produce by the chef.

'The Pink City' of Jaipur by rickshaw

Today you explore Jaipur by rickshaw. Start with the City Palace’s spectacular rose pink archways and then on to the towering Hawa Mahal, also called the Palace of the Winds, with glistening fairy-tale windows. The tour ends at the Jantar Mantar, the Royal Astronomical Observatory, where the giant sun, eclipse and star instruments still stand including the world’s largest stone sundial. Spend the night back at your guesthouse, a peaceful and comfortable place, surrounded by hills.

The Blue City

This morning take a jeep ride to the Amber Fort. Built of red sandstone, this fort and former palace offers six distinct sections, each decorated exquisitely with gates, mirrors, mosaics, and sculptures. In the afternoon your driver will bring you to Jodhpur, 'The Blue City,' where you will spend the night at a haveli heritage hotel where traditional rooms offer authentic royal ambiance. As you enter through towering 18th century wooden doors into the large, cool courtyard, the hustle and bustle of the city falls silent and time appears to have stood still. Exuding history and culture; almost two centuries old, this historical haveli is a living museum, filled with Rajput antiques, weaponry, and treasures.

City tour of Jodhpur

Today you take a guided tour of Jodhpur. Nicknamed 'The Blue City', it makes for stunning photos. Many of the buildings are painted Jodhpur blue and everywhere you look, the Mehrangarh Fort, towers over the skyline. The smooth cut cliffs create the illusion that the fort is carved directly into the mountaintop. Spend your time soaking up the atmosphere of landmarks like the Mehrangarh Fort, the quiet oasis of Jaswant Thada the resting place of Maharajahs past, the towering dome of Umaid Bhawan Palace or the clock tower and bustle of Sardar Bazar. Return to your heritage haveli hotel for the evening.

Ranakpur Jain Temple

Today you head to Narlai. On the way stop at Ranakpur Jain temple. This impressive temple is not only large, it is also intricately carved with stunning detail - of the 1444 marble pillars no two are carved the same way, offering incredible beauty and staggering architecture everywhere you look.

Spend the night in your Narlai heritage hotel, a place filled with class and history and a true snapshot of Rajasthani culture, with meticulously restored architecture and lavish ambiances, rooms exude a charming feel of the Royal Rajasthan. Stepwell Dinner under the stars

Today you set out to explore Narlai village on foot. This 15th century village is timeless and enchanting. Visit the prominent temples of Lord Shiva and Adinath, which date back to 907AD, to see elaborate ceiling decorations and fine murals.

In the evening enjoy a magical stepwell dinner at your hotel. Taste the authentic flavour of Rajasthani royalty and hospitality at the 16th-century old Baori, also known as a Stepwell, lit by hundreds of lamps spreading their light under the star-studded sky. Afterwards, you can gather in the courtyard, enjoy a drink with the royal residents who will tell you about the tales and rich history of the locals and the heritage.

Kumbhalgarh Fort

Today, you set out for Udaipur, stopping on the way at Kumbhalgarh Fort. The long fort frontage continues with a stone wall over 80 km in length. The sand dunes of the Great Indian Desert can be seen from the fort walls and further inside, from the palace top, it is possible to see deep into the Aravalli Range. Upon reaching Udaipur, check into your haveli hotel, more than 300 years old and which belongs to the King of Madri. You’ll be swept away by the interior courtyard, elegant rooftop restaurant and stain glass windows.

Sunset boat ride

Today, you visit Udaipur the so-called "Venice of the East" built around Lake Pichola and surrounded by ridges. Get lost in the labyrinths of the City Palace which is one of the architectural marvels of Rajasthan, located peacefully on the banks of Lake Pichola. This majestic City Palace is the most-visited tourist attraction of Udaipur and often distinguished as the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. You can also visit Saheliyon-ki-Bari which is a major garden and a popular tourist place in Udaipur complemented by fountains, kiosks, a lotus pool and marble elephants.

End your day with a boat ride on picturesque Lake Pichola, taking in the beautiful views of the elegant lakeside buildings. The lake changes colour through the day to reflect blue in the morning, gold at noon and exquisite orange at sunset. Post visits return to to your hotel and you can have a dinner at the rooftop restaurant and enjoy the wonderful panoramic views of both the old city and the famous Lake Pichola, where lights reflect romantically on the lake surface after the sun goes down.

Today you take a domestic flight back to Delhi to catch your international flight home. If the schedule of your international flight allows, take the opportunity to make some last visits or browse the bazaars to bring back gifts and sip a last Chai masala tea.
